Hi Friends

I have gathered lot information from this forum. Still I think it would be prudent to get help from a lawyer for my case.

I do not have photos of me and my girl friend together to send with the K1 application. May get tricky..

I am looking for a reputed law firm in Columbus, Ohio area.

Do you know how much they would charge for to represent till K1 visa is approved.

Thanks

Not having photos does not sound tricky to me, provided that you have evidence of meeting within a two year period prior to filing. Passport stamps, boarding passes, plane tickets, bills and receipts with both your names on it, all of which are stronger evidence then just photos.

I'm not sure what other proof you have lined up, or lack thereof that you are considering and attorney for your K1. Pictures are not required but HIGHLY recommended. The lawyer will do the same thing as you in terms of putting the package together. Please don't think that having one will make your case go quicker. Here on VJ you can read around about some stories where lawyers send incomplete packets, send to wrong po boxes, etc.

So if the only thing you think the lawyer will help out with is the lack of picture, I say file yourself. But maybe there are other complex parts to your case that we dont know about.

I don't think you need a Lawyer for this process. A friend of mine hired one and he fired him because of cost and he realized that he could do everything just as fast and for free. Just keep talking with people on here if you have any questions. Good luck.

I'm using a laywer eventhough everything is in place. It helps my peace of mind eventhough it has it's price.

I was informed by a very reputable laywer to find my representative on www.ailalaywer.com

Good luck!

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Photos are secondary evidence. The primary evidence is dated travel tickets, passport entry / exit stamps, visas, etc. Really, not having photos is not a biggie.

Stop feeding the lawyers! They'll only continue to reproduce.
