Hello I have two questions relating to my fiance's phone number.

1) On the I-129F it asks for her phone number. She doesn't have a home phone just a cell phone, should I put her cell phone down or does it have to be a home phone?

2) A few months back she lost her cell phone and had to get a new one. A lot of my evidence revolves around phone calls, texts, and receipts that show her phone number on them. So naturally it shows her old number and then the past few months shows her new number. Should I put an explanation on why I started calling and texting another number?

Thanks

Eric

1) Put her cell phone number down - I also did that and there wasn't an issue. :)

2) If necessary, just mention that her phone number changed. However, the evidence that you have to provide with sending the I-129F is that you two met within the last two years - phone records will help, but you may want to save that for the interview.

Best of luck!

1) cellphone number works just fine

2) just hand in a proof that both numbers belong to her. for example one of her bills with the old number and one with the new number. it should also have her name on there so that they see its really her number. and if youre still concerned just write a short statement that she had to change her number.

Put down her cell phone number. Do not worry about phone records right now - take those with you to the interview. If they see a problem with it during the interview, they will ask you and you may then explain. Don't worry, it will be fine. I had tons of evidence for my interview and they didn't even ask to see any of it at all - I was quite disappointed! LOL

Don't sweat the phone. Some people don't have phones still in many places. You can put N/A or her mobile number. Phone evidence is secondary to primary evidence such as travel tickets, visa entry / exit stamps, and other dated materials that far more proof a valid relationship exists.

I agree - not too big of a deal.

I also put down my husband's cell phone - and he used to switch phones on almost a monthly basis. I had a phone bill from my mom's house along with calling cards and a PIN you buy on-line.

That doesn't matter - the fact is that you communicate.

We both started with one e-mail address and moved onto another over the years - no big deal.
