May I scan and print (in color laser printer) some of my documents to send as evidence? It is because some documents are not good in common black and white (Xerox) copies.

I did read a post where documents should not be printed in color. But unsure as to what documents that was referring to. Perhaps someone can confirm.

I'm wondering what beyond photographs would require color? I'd say b/w is acceptable, even for passport pages in color, rather that b/w.

I copied my passport in b/w (all pages) and it was perfectly legible.

I scanned and printed in black and white my passport first page info, ´cus I forgot to send it to my fiance. Well, he´ll print it from his house that is. I printed as a test and it looks just like a regular copy.

I suppose you could always send in color copies in addition to black and white of anything you think may not be legible in black and white and let them decide if they want it or not.

I sent colour photocopies done on my print/photocopier at home for the passport stamps with the first set of forms sent in and for my interview I submitted a colour copy of my birth certificate. I offered the official at the embassy it in black and white but he said he'd like the colour one so yes you can do it in colour. I like you, thought it looked better and was easier to read.

James sent in color copies of his passport and boarding passes and my boarding passes were in black and white and I highlighted important information (they were still hard to read unfortunately, they faded over time :(). We had no problems :)

thank you for replying me. :)

and yes my board pass (the one I used to go to Canada) is not so good to read. I will try to print it in color and b/w to make sure they will be able to read it. :luv::luv:

same here - i had the option to scan and print colour at home, so i did. any documents with colour got printed that way. i don't see why it would make any difference at all these days.

I made color copies of my passport, and didn't notice until later that the copy machine had a notice on it stating that certain documents, including passports, should not be color copied. But the stamp dates were more readable that way. I doubt it will be a problem.
