Of note, I had my first experience with tariff charges today, consequent to windshield replacement:

 -- Tariff relief = $3.78

 -- Tariff China 2 = $15.03

 -- Tariff row = $2.13

Total = $20.94.  This was for a DuPont laminated safety-glass OEM-equivalent windshield.

 

Insurance paid for all, so I care not.  However, had this been out-of-pocket, I'd now be actively raving in some protest against Mandarin Mussolini, Fat Orange Nixon, or whatever what's-his-face here used to call him.  Or not.  :P

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

So DuPont makes windshields in China?  That's disappointing.  A group of us had a run of windshields made for Plymouth Prowlers and I'm quite sure they were made in the US.

Trump Made the Democrats an Offer They Couldn't Refuse, But They Did

 

By now, the video has gone viral with Trump asking a simple question:


"If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support.  The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants."

 

With great timing and a gift for performance and storytelling, Trump pauses and lets the applause grow.  He luxuriated in the moment as the Democrats sat there, stone-faced, thinking it would play well at MS-Now.  It probably will.  Trump wanted all of America to see it and remember it.  He set a trap.  They walked right into it.


"You should be ashamed," he said.  Probably, he also knew it would agitate the Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, and it did.  They screamed back at him, "YOU should be ashamed!"  Yet another viral moment for a president who is really good at TV.

 

Trump embarrassed the Democrats again by paying tribute to a mother who rescued her daughter from the gender cult, and when the Democrats didn't stand for that, Trump said, "These people are crazy."  Another viral moment that will live in infamy.  [...]

Trump delivered what they were looking for, from plans for the economy, celebrations of Olympic wins, spotlights on forgotten Americans, and, not least of all, sharp contrasts between his policies and those of the Democratic Party.

A Masterclass in Giving a Speech Without Giving a Speech

But President Donald Trump's whirlwind, time-defying performance left me (and maybe you, too) with a nagging question/realization that I'll try to explain today:  How do you give a speech — particularly a speech of two hours — without giving a speech?
