For our part and for the people that we personally know, it is not a cultural thing at all. If the author of the article would like to provide for the economic and healthcare burden and well-being of elderly, then my husband and I will get on to tackling that 'problem'. 😉 But FWIW, I don't think having children is a problem that needs to be tackled, children should only be had when they are truly wanted and desired, loved, safe, and secure.
