Has anyone had an K1 interview as the beneficiary but had a conviction. My partner is stressing about the interview and I want to gain insight to calm nerves.

  • How was the experience?
  • What questions were asked?
  • What documentation did you take alongside your police records?
  • Did you get approved?
  • Did you use a lawyer?

Thank you in advance!

Some convictions are immaterial some will kill the case stone dead.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

As @Boiler said, will be very dependent on the crime, the sentence, how long ago it was, whether the applicant has ever entered the US without declaring the conviction, etc.

If you're worried, then a lawyer consultation might be a good idea.

Best of luck.
