USCIS Postmark - Quick question (N400)

Hey guys I tried to search and make sense of the postmark when sending documentation to USCIS but I'm still a bit confused, and with the new civic test and whatnot starting with new applications from Oct.20th 2025 my question is, if I send my application on Oct.20th via USPS does it still count due to the postmark being on the 20th still, or does the USCIS have me do the new one because it was received after the 20th? I'm genuinely curious if I should rush it on the 20th.

Why would you mail the application?  You should file online TODAY...

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

the day they receive the application is what matters
