Hi everyone, Can someone tell me if I have to send any original documents with the Affidavit of support to my Fiancee? She is tell me I need originals for her to take to Kiev for her interview. Bank statements,IRS transcripts,W-2, divorce papers etc. I am worried to send these documents with my soc.number on them and bank account numbers. I have heard horror stories about identity theft and it takes years and lots of $$$ to get it all strightened out. My Fiancee told me she has talked to some girls on a Russian forum that have gone through the interview there in Kiev and they told her they need originals there. ( true or Fulse) If these papers would get into the wrong hands, they would have a field day with them! Thanks for your help!!! Jeff & Yulia

You do have to send originals.

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

I think he was trying to abbreviate "affadavit of support", not realising that "adjustment of status" is usually abbreviated that way.

The affadavit of support is more often called the I-134, just to lessen the confusion. :)

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Getting our sanity tested by bureaucracy since 2007.

Here we go again...

Removal of conditions @ VSC

9/4/2010 - sent!

9/14/2010 - NOA
