Can I ask what evidence you submitted in both your original filing and what further evidence you took with you?

I submitted every single document outlined in their website from birth certificates to divorce, and my hubby presented his tax and financial info, his own birth certificate etc. We brought all the docs again as requested and also the new docs showing we live at the same address, insurance etc. The lady did not ask for ANY documents, however in the end she said, Have you brought any documents that you have not yet submitted? He replied yes, so she asked for those new ones and she said that some people upload them, some send them and some bring them and it's the same to her. We didn't know we were ever supposed to send them the NEW evidence that we live at the same address and share medical insurance etc. It doesn't say so anywhere in the paperwork that we read hundreds of times. My hubby explained that and she was like, 'I will get the documents added, thanks' and did not explain why this si not specified. If he had not said anything, she would have not added them and maybe later she could have asked us for such evidence.

Thanks for that, it's helpful to me while I still wait for an update on my AOS after doing my biometrics back in May.

Yeah, you can upload Unsolicited Evidence online, but I don't recall it saying that anywhere on any letters. I think I just came across it while clicking around in my USCIS account. Although I've not uploaded anything for a while, because I am just thinking I can take it all to interview anyway? Swings and roundabouts, I guess. Maybe it had more use during Covid when they were waiving interviews, providing there was substantial evidence?

Anyway, congrats to you and your family. I hope the rest of your journey goes smoothly!

thanks, and yes you can upload anything that you think can support their request and avoid uploading stuff that might mean trouble in any way. Also, I wanted to add that so far we have not had received ANY comments about the Medical. We did not do all the vaccines last year. We delayed the Covid and had it after arriving here, but now it is no longer asked for. Also we did not have the flu vaccine which was out of flu season then and it is now (unit October 1st) so I hope we are done with that. Now that everyone has the interview, you get the chance to explain more things.

Congratulations on your apparently successful interview, and thank you for your candid report.  It was thoughtful of you to take the time to do it.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Just to update some of the Google reviews about rude staff at security: the staff were all very efficient and polite. We were asked to show the USCIS letters, ID, and take off our shoes and bags. That's all. Upstairs to my happy surprise there was not the usual arctic cold caused by AC madness so I did not freeze as expected.

All the other officers I saw calling their customers seemed to be extremely pleasant and polite.

That's the same as we experienced... the support staff there were all very friendly and helpful and we also noticed that pretty much all the other officers that were calling people in for interviews seemed very pleasant and kind.

Happy you guys had a good experience! :)

This was specifically commented on by our ISO during the interview and she said that it allowed her to review our case prior to calling us in and enabled her to say she was approving our application that day. She thanked us for doing it. I have read reviews of other people's interviews on other platforms where their ISO thanked them for uploading their evidence prior to the interview as it made their job easier also. I highly recommend anyone preparing for an interview upload new evidence accumulated since filing using the Unsolicited Evidence button on the documents tab of their case in the portal
