N-400 September 2025 filers

Filed 09/21/25 online, located in CA. Received Biometric Reuse on the same day. Haven’t had any updates. 

Checked "https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times" tool in Dec 2025, all SoCal locations showed 7.5 months. 

Checked again around the end of 4/2026, it shows 8 months.

Check today 5/3/2026, now it shows 8.5 months.

 

It looks like an invisible cutoff line people applied after mid 09/2025.

I'm just a lurking July filer, but I've come to a similar conclusion after watching people's cases move (or not move rather) from about mid/end July to mid-September... of course there's some that have but it seems to me that there is quite a large group of us who have heard absolutely nothing all this time. My FO's processing times has recently added an extra 1.5 months on top as well. Really frustrating. I wish casestatusext would still be functional cos I'm so curious how other blocks are doing.

I woke up this morning to an email saying an action had been taken on my case but when I logged in I have the same message about not needing anything from me at this time just with an updated date of May 9.

 

The wait continues.

Exact same thing, just a day later. E-mail about action taken on the case, same status "Case Is Still Being Processed By USCIS", just an updated date of 5/10. Nothing particularly notable in the API, a new event was added, same event code as all prior ones (FTA0). Not sure yet what to make out of this. Maybe they are initiating a renewal/deeper FBI check as per the most recent proclamation?...
