Hi guys,

I submitted my i-129f petition form a couple of days ago and today i realized there were 2 small mistakes in my application packet. I want to get advice from you guys to see how this could affect my case. Do you think these mistakes will get me rejected?

Mistake 1:

- We met in Jan 2025 and all of our evidence says Jan 2025 but in my letter of intent to marry, i accidentally wrote Jan 2024.

Mistake 2:

- In my employment history, i listed everything correctly except a job from 2017-2020 where I forgot to change the date and address because I just copied it from the job above it.

It will be either missed or it will be spotted and potentially result in an RFE. If it's missed I suggest having it corrected at the interview.

is this a huge issue?

the package is still in transit so i could still reroute it back to me and fix the errors.

I personally wouldn't mess with it. I seriously doubt it will be spotted before the package makes it to the embassy/consulate. Just mention/correct it during the interview.

In theory it could lead to an RFE leading to a delay. But you can just as easily create a much larger delay by trying to get it corrected with the petition in transit between different desks

thank you!

i was thinking because it’s still being shipped to the PO BOX, i could get it rerouted back to me to fix it.

For RFE, how long you think the delay could be if I got an RFE? 1-2 months?

Also, just for a peace of mind… this wouldn’t be a huge red flag or an issue that could result in our application being denied?

Depends how quickly you get the corrections sent back to them. in theory it could be days. It's not like they completely throw your application to the back of the que.

You don't want to know how many mistakes in forms are never spotted by both applicants and reviewers. And no this is not a red flag

cool, that makes me feel better

so you think i should just wait then?

or should i try to reroute the package back to my address? it hasn’t been delivered tô USCIS yet. And in theory, if ị reroute ít, it’ll be back here in 2-3 days.
