Can I apply for citizenship based on marriage if I went to my home country without my husband for almost two months last year?

I can apply for citizenship based on 3 year rule but I just realized last year I went to my home country to visit my family after almost 4 years of not seeing them and I brought my 3 year old son along so everybody could meet him. Unfortunately my husband wasn’t able to come because he started his dream job and definitely couldn’t request time off. I know you have to live in marital union to apply based on marriage and now I’m worried this will look like for these almost two months we didn’t see each other. Obviously my address in the states stayed the same, I was even getting some packages and letters, me and my husband were calling and texting, we have a home together and our toddler. Just not sure if IO would be weird about this in this weird times. To me it’s just looks like a family visit or vacation but I’m not sure how they would feel about this.

You can always apply, nobody can prevent you from doing it.

You can use the argument it was a temporary trip.

It's hard to tell how IO will rule it out.

I really hope it won’t be a problem. Thank you!

I'm going out on a limb here and say "sure why not" don't have any proof for 2 months, but did one month myself and it wasn't brought up (honestly I never even thought about it being a thing). Just because your married doesn't mean you have to do everything together.

That’s exactly what I think too! Thanks. Will be applying soon and it just randomly came to my mind
