My fiance was scheduled for tomorrow Aug 19, but not long ago received a message stating that cfo would be closed for a non working holiday. They want to reschedule her for a time after her plane leaves on the 22nd.

I thought I read in here someone said their appointment system is a farce and you can just show up to appointments? Seems they aren't working on the 21st either, making the 20th the only non holiday.

Plane to come to US?

if so,  even if interview was on the 19th,  visa would not be ready by the 22nd

She already has Visa, CFO will not allow scheduling an initial appointment without VISA number.

We are going to try to get in on the 20th which would avert the crisis. Always something.

@clemente can probably give you some good info.   He recently navigated the CFO issue better than anyone I have seen.  @Edward and Jaycel is also an expert.

Just have her show up on the morning session and request to do a walk-in. (Have her get there at the earliest time that they allow check-ins) Tell her to bring the original appointment notice for the canceled one and proof of the flight reservations on the 22nd and they should allow her to do the appointment on a walk-in basis.

One caveat to this... whether or not they allow her to do the walk-in is completely up to the counselor in charge of that branch of CFO.

This is the current plan we have come up with too. I'll post an update Wednesday, but I wanted to warn people so you know their scheduling system isn't very bright in regards to their own closures. Shocking right, wouldn't expect that from the Philippines....
