I've been taking care of my dad (Canadian)for the last 5 weeks. I want to bring him back with me to Visit only. My sister will come get him in October. Does anyone know if we need to register, I went through the form and it say no but maybe I messed it up. I want him to visit his grandchildren and his new great granddaughter. At 82 every day is a blessing and I want one more good visit for him.

The INA requires that, with limited exceptions, all aliens 14 years of age or older who were not registered and fingerprinted (if required) when applying for a U.S. visa and who remain in the United States for 30 days or longer, must apply for registration and fingerprinting

Once an alien has registered and appeared for fingerprinting (unless waived), DHS will issue evidence of registration, which aliens over the age of 18 must carry and keep in their personal possession at all times.

B2 he would be fingerprinted

ESTA not fingerprinted so needs to register

I 94 at border needs to register

AI says canadians do not need to register but i can not find that on CBP or USCIS sites so ask at border

Thanks, that is what I read too. I guess we will find out if I can get him to come with us on Friday. I'm hoping he will come but he's stubborn.
