08/01/2025 - Mailed to USCIS Eligin, IL Lockbox via UPS

08/04/2025 - UPS Tracking says package was delivered 

 

I sent the G-1145 E-Notification form with my package so now I wait for text messages or some sort of notification, aside from the receipt they should hopefully mail me soon.

Exactly the same dates as me! For both. Mine was to AZ though

I got the text message this morning that the case was received and the receipt number. 
 

Surprisingly efficient from USCIS!

That's awesome! I actually just got mine like an hour ago.

Just an update.. I received the I-797 notice today, which is the extension to the green card but there is a typo on the last name.

 

I called USCIS and the agent put in a request to get this corrected.

Apologies! I meant to type it was sent to Elgin, IL via UPS. I did not send through USPS.

Question - Mine says delivered to front desk and it was signed for. Is that normal? I assumed that putting a box on it, it was more like a PO Box. I'm nervous. I checked my address and it was put exactly as written on the site.

That should be fine, mine said it was delivered to a dock!
Just wait to receive the receipt notice or text notification if you sent the G-1145 E-Notification form.

Phew. Ok thank you for giving me peace of mind! I did sent the G-1145 with my packet so I'll keep tabs

Hello all!

 

08/19/2025 Mailed to Elgin, IL PO box with FedEx

08/21/2025 Delivered

 

Did not include the e-notification form, my mistake. I’ll keep an eye on my bank account to see when USCIS cashes in the check, use that as a very rough tracking tool. Apart from that, the long wait begins. Hope it goes smoothly for all of us.

I think I am the only person who used a cashiers check lol I didn’t trust the credit card thing because my bank is notorious for declining random charges and I don’t have personal checks.

I would be happy it was signed for! That a good sign it was received. I paid slightly more to send mine via fedex and so it needed a signature so I knew that

I did my biometrics yesterday. Got the invite letter about a wk ago.
