We elected for pickup. She was approved on the 15th and I got the message at midnight on the 17th in my email. I didn't get an SMS message and I am in eastern US time. I hope you get it soon.

Yes the pick up was a success, but not enough time to do the CFO. Will happen Monday 7/21 to fly to Seattle late afternoon.

I am very, very surprised the consulate would issue a visa with only a few days of validity.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Now we know. They probably released it knowing she can travel up to the date it expires at midnight to make it to the United States. Expired visa once in country is not a concern like a tourist visa etc. The K1 extends to 90 days.

The normal process is to call the applicant and ask if they can travel prior to visa expiration date if the medical expires within a couple weeks.  Sometimes, they even direct the applicant to obtain a new medical if it is close to expiration.   That has been the case in multiple instances I've seen.  Keep us up to date.  We are rooting for you.

Isn't the medical good for 6 months if there's no TB findings? My fiance was approved this month, but she needs 30 day notice on resignation so have to wait a month. She did the medical earlier this month.

You are absolutely correct. With the headaches of scheduling biometrics and interview brought us to consume most of the six months.

Thank you all for your support. It’s been a stressful journey for me and her. I’m so happy we did it. On the plane. I wouldn’t want this journey for anyone to experience. It was awful at the least. Thank you all. 🥲🥲🥰

The CFO obviously let her do a walk in... Did they give her any trouble about it?

No mention of it, other than last minute request for a criminal report on me. I panicked but I was able to acquire several on line and they accepted it.
