...I suspect it has a lot to do with the individual field offices.

It does, I've been tracking the cases just for my filing date and I watch them update from approved to card produced at a pretty erratic rate.  Field offices aren't disclosed in the public records so it's hard to say which ones move more efficiently.

You're right, it's hard to say for certain. I'm operating under the assumption that field offices that are slower in general (i.e., publish longer processing times overall) probably take longer in between interviews and approvals/green card productions. But anything could happen, I'm sure some people get lucky and get stuck on the top of the pile in even slow field offices and some don't.

I feel this.  Sometimes I wonder if we should've created a minor typo in the form so we could RFE since they often get fast tracked after the RFER.

Probably not worth the risk.

Interestingly, in the age of everyone getting interviewed, I feel like RFE's for small things aren't getting sent. For example, in our application, I had marked the public charge question 'no' mistakenly, and was sure I'd get an RFE for that. Instead, it was just corrected by the officer at the interview. Maybe it depends what the error is.

I'd be lying if I said Jaycel and I didn't think this also 🥹 It's so hard watching people get scheduled for interviews 30-60 days after filing. Don't get me wrong, we are super happy for them but when we see the posts and stats on these ones, Jaycel has asked me on more than one occasion if USCIS has forgotten her case. It breaks my heart
