That's the current/next step. It's kinda confusing, I know. You'll notice it doesn't have a checkmark like steps 1 & 2. Once the interview is scheduled, you'll see the checkmark, and it'll move to the next step.

They had a new timeline feature that was clearer, but they removed it a week later.

Probably wasn't production ready. They tested it on subset of users and rolled back.

Don't you worry, USCIS will have another useless timeline feature released some time in the future. Nobody can predict with 100% how long the case will take, not even an immigration lawyer, not even USCIS.

Hello All! I'm ready for the next step in my exciting America life.

Applied June 16 (my window opened June 10).

Applying under the 3 year rule. Was going to wait for the 5 year rule but everyone encouraged me to apply now.

Biometrics appointment set for July 11!

I'm thinking my interview will be sometime in March 2026. So, after biometrics I'll forget about everything and just go on with my life.

Thought I would post in this thread to see how others are doing...

It will be interesting to see the various experiences! Hoping everyones cases go smoothly and as fast or slow as you need it to go!

Thats a great attitude to obsess over the interview date. Good luck!

Congratulations for the overall!

That attitude of yours is the best to have.

Send you application, do your biometric, wait for the rest while focusing on your day to day to life without any stress.

Wishing to everyone following this thread a good and stressful life and above all, the approval of their immigration cases 🎉🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏

My husband submitted his N-400 application online on June 19, 2025, and on the same day, we received a notice saying that USCIS would reuse his biometrics.

He had already renewed his Green Card for the first time back in April 2024, which extended his permanent residency for another 10 years. However, we felt it was the right time to take the next step and apply for U.S. citizenship.

As of now, the case status shows "Interview Scheduled," but we haven't received the actual interview notice yet. So, we're just patiently waiting for the interview date to arrive.

Does the interview scheduled have the same check mark as “case pending” (or whatever the previous status is before interview scheduled). If it isn’t then an interview hasn’t been scheduled but that’s the next step.

Is the checkbook outlined or filed in line the other steps?  It can be confusing, outlined means you're still waiting for the interview to be scheduled but that's the next step to be completed.

If it's filed in,  try checking the documents tab.

If it's not checked, then it means you're just waiting. At some point in future you'll get scheduled for interview.

We did biometrics last week and despite all the horrible reviews of the location, it went very smooth and the place was empty. And hoping even if we do end up with a denial, they'll just reuse this the 2nd time around.
