So from my understanding I believe I’ve jumped ahead of myself. I’m still in the case approved status and NOA2 received. The status hasn’t updated to sent to NVC yet. So once it’s sent to NVC is that when I submit an inquiry for the case number, after 60 days.

I never received an update from USCIS saying mine was sent to NVC. I waited 60 days and submitted a PI asking if they had received it, and sure enough they had. If it has been 60 days since you received NOA2 I would send a PI and ask.

Finally got NOA2 approval

Yee-HAAAAA!  (That's Texan for "Congratulations!")

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hello everyone I have another question... I'm gathering my documents for the 134 form.. Is it necessary for me to obtain a letter from my bank stating when I opened the account OR are the 12 months of bank statements good enough? I'm confused with this because my attorney says no I don't need that but I've been reading and watching videos and that says it would help...

My understanding is that if you are not going to use the asset then it is not needed. If you plan on using the bank account I would go with the letter from the bank as that is what is on the instructions for the i134 but it could not hurt to also have some bank statements.

I would also like to say thank you to all the moderators and individuals outside of our small group of may2025 i-129 filers that have been on this journey and provided help and insight into the process. your wealth of knowledge has been invaluable. i know we have a long way to go but i wanted to share my gratitude for everyone before things get stressful again i forget lol.

It's now been 60 days since our NoA2 approval and still no updates regarding an NVC transfer.  I'm kind of anxious that we fell through the cracks :(

Tried sending a PI this morning and it still said it's in "reasonable processing time." I'm assuming that I have to wait until it's technically 61 days until I can submit a PI so I can submit tomorrow?

At the very least, I have a lot of distractions waiting for all this :)

That is really all you can do unfortunately. According to the USCIS agent I talked to yesterday they do not always update when they send it to NVC. Just have to send a PI and hope they have received it I guess.

Thank you for the additional tips and context. I forgot to mention I did reach out the NVC who says they did not receive it. I also called USCIS and they informed me to wait until it's been 90 days since NoA2 to call them back. I was always under the impression it was 60 days based on the verbiage on their e-Request form.

You're doing everything you can and that is all that matters. The whole system is wonky at best and meant to test us. Just stay the course. We will get through this :)

I appreciate the kind words :) Between fellow filers and mods this community has been such a support beacon getting through this process. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I wish you all the best on your journey as well.

Thank you for the info on your file - this info helps provide so much more context. Our petition has not been sent to the NVC and still only in "Approved" status according to the USCIS case tracker.

You certainly are not.  This waiting sucks, and all of us here went through it at one or more points.  Keep the faith.
