Issues getting to Visa Journey from Several Internet Providers

Myself and a few other VJ members have been experiencing issues getting to the VJ site for the last week or so. It seemed to start with Spectrum Broadband as that is the service in my office and another member's home service. We could not connect from that service, but when switching to another internet provider (Going home and getting on XFinity Broadband in my case - Using mobile hotspot to connect for the other VJ member) It seemed to resolve for a day or so earlier in the week and then it started timing out again but this time it was not only Spectrum Broadband but had now spread to XFinity Broadband. I can still reach the site via my browser on Verizon Network Mobile phone. Don't know if this is a wider internet routing issue or site related but wanted to make sure the admins here were aware. Tagging some folks that I know are Mods/Organizers

As a matter of fact, I am experiencing issues right now.....and I have Spectrum community wide internet here in our apartment complex.  This issue has happened to me 2 or 3 times over the last year.   I use a VPN to work around the issue.  I have reported my issue to Captain Ewok. 

BTW, I highly recommend Proton VPN.  Their free service is good.

Without a VPN I can't even ping www.visajourney.com.  It's like an IP block.  Even using a VPN, I have to change servers several times a hour.  Pretty odd.

Ok so first? Thank you now that me and one of the other members having an issue know we're not going crazy  I have the same thing, I get on a VPN and its good for a while then starts timing out again until I change VPN locations and I can't ping the site either when it happens

I told Captain Ewok that it seems like an IP block is chasing me around from VPN server to VPN server....LOL.

It could be Spectrum related....internet routing issue of some kind?  Regional issue?

I thought so at first... but now it's affecting me at home and there I have XFinity

Oh....maybe a regional IP block or policy restriction?   I was trained on networking back in the 90s...LOL.

BTW, I don't have issues connecting to any other site without a VPN.

Full disclosure - I'm an engineering manager at Spectrum - but in Telephony, not High Speed Internet. I'm on the Spectrum network here in the office and I can't get to it here unless I use one of our 8 VPNs. That keeps me on the Spectrum network but from an Internet Drain somewhere else in the country. Like you, it's fine for a while and then dies and I have to switch to a different VPN. I really thought it was a Spectrum issue until it started failing from my home XFinity connection.

In my mind, it points to a VJ server policy.....but I could be wrong.

Yes, once it hit my XFinity connection that's where my mind went too but I do not know enough about modern internet routing to have any confidence in my theory. LOL

In addition to Spectrum broadband here in the apartment building, Wife and I also have 2 Spectrum mobile lines.  I absolutely love them.  I have never had an issue, and the price is fantastic.

Yes Spectrum mobile (which is what I have as well since I get the employee discount LOL) is pretty good. We are a MVNO which means that your connection rides on Verizon Wireless' network since we don't own the underlying cellular network. I have never had an issue anywhere in the country that I've been with the service.
