Questions about part 9 of n400 form

Hello again!

 

Back with another question. Back in 2020 I had to exit my car and was questioned at the border as to why I was entering the USA and for how long. I was not arrested, I also didn't receive a citation. Was I detained? Do I have to fill in this section? I was also turned away once in 2020 due to the pandemic do I need to mention that as well?

This was before your K-1 visa was issued I'm assuming? This secondary inspection just like at the airport passport control, not being detained IMHO. Did they admit you to the US after that?

What was the reason for refusing your entry? Just because of the pandemic?

For your first question I was admitted to the US after that and for the second it was just because of the pandemic

Still stick to my opinion that the secondary inspection does not count as being "Detained" but maybe a more experienced member can weigh in @Crazy Cat @OldUser @Dashinka

 

For being refused entry due to the pandemic, I would disclose this with the date it happened and the reason they gave you for the refusal
