We got the letter today;  Oath ceremony will be on 6/27/25.  Rather short notice (6 days) but we can make it.

The Milwaukee office is pretty low key about the whole thing.  Took 1/2 an hour and they schedule the ceremony's back to back to back, so they usher you out as soon as its done.

While the letter said to bring any employment authorization cards, they didn't take my wife's, they just took the green cards.  Not sure if that was an oversight or not.

She will be going in for the passport interview in July to get that taken care of.  Her Cambodian passport expired a couple of months ago and you cannot renew it in the USA.

In my opinion, it's always best to have all the cards and be ready to surrender them VS being asked on spot about cards and not have them...

Congrats!

And sorry about pain of renewing Cambodian passport. This is unfortunate. Many countries allow doing it even online. Maybe one day...

Congrats! Make sure she updates SSA.

I had my interview for N-400 and I-751 today after filing for N-400 back in April. My wife joined me, and we were both called in together. Our officer was not that friendly but was was not unfriendly either. He asked about my marriage, details on my employment, our daughter's birth, then the US Knowledge and English Proficiency test.

One thing that was weird was he was saying the questions in section 9 were not coming up for him, and he'd asked why they hadn't been completed, but I had a copy of my original submission and showed that I have; he wasn't sure why that occurred. As such, we went through all the questions again, and the only change I provided was over the question "Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official (in the U.S. or elsewhere), or immigration official for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense?", where I notified him of a traffic ticket I received last year for not fully stopping at a stop sign. I couldn't remember all the exact details, but I provided the information I remembered and he took note.

I then signed the documents and he handed me a note where it said I had passed my English test and US history and government test, and "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval."

I'm guessing next I hear final approval and oath ceremony date? Should I be pleased with the interview result, and not disappointed I didn't get an Oath ceremony date on the spot (not that I was expecting this, my wife was asking).

Thanks all!

You should hear about the approval and oath ceremony soonish (most people get interview in about 2 odd weeks). Good luck and congrats on getting the n-400 done.

Thanks! Will the traffic violation change anything, or is this not considered a serious incident? (It was a $100 fine which was promptly paid).

Mine said 7 months and it actually took 3.5 months.

It was showing 3 weeks until decision on day of my oath.

that’s nice! It’s been nearly 3 months since I submitted . I’m coming up on my 3rd year gc anniversary this weekend. Hopefully there’s an update then

As few of the folks have noticed you will see a change at the end of the 90 day mark that puts you over and at 3 year mark. So maybe next week you will see some movement

Got an update from my case on USCIS today (my interview was for both my I-751 and N400) -

"As of July 9, 2025, we are actively reviewing your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. Our records show nothing outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you."

If this a typical update to get after the interview for both cases? (The officer that interviewed us recommended our application for approval).

Thanks!

Isn't that the status that comes up after they receive the I-751 and there are no immediate issues?
