Sounds like good news!!  Congrats.  Remember to collect evidence over the next 2 years.....it will make it easy when I-751 time rolls around.

Great Advice! Jaycel and I already have a box that we put stuff into to scan and I have already created a "ROC" folder on my computer. LOL

My husband mostly just kept yapping, maybe that saved us LOL

Our officer (different from your officer) at Dallas told my wife (during her N-400 interview) that I am "a talker"......we passed the I-751 interview, so I guess it was OK.

LOL. I sometimes was thinking ‘honey I’m sure she doesn’t care where the nearest A&W spot is…’ but yknow, just let him yap!! I just hope I didn’t forget anything due to nerves and his talking hahah. We’re gonna scan everything we can to prepare for anything that comes up next.

only odd thing is we didn’t get anything that said ‘hey you had your interview’ like I’ve seen here, but maybe that’s just office specific?

I hate how basically you’re just still back to waiting LOL

I think it's officer specific.... We got one here in the Denver FO at the end of our interview but our friends who went to the same office 6 days later, had a different officer and did not get one

Don't kill yourself on it today.... Even if they approve it today, you won't get an email and it won't show in your portal until tomorrow. Our officer said she was approving us that day but that there's a 24 hour delay in what they do in their system and when it shows up in our portal. Sure enough, 25 hours after we left the office, we got the email and the status had changed to "Approved". Also keep in mind that if they are an officer that needs supervisory review of their cases, it can take a bit longer. So try not to drive yourself too crazy :)

Long post, but it is our interview experience at Montgomery.

TDLR: Verbal approval right away. Nothing requested. Very nice officer.

We had our interview yesterday afternoon. I am glad our interview was in the afternoon, because we are 3 hours away from the Montgomery office.

We registered at the intake window. About 15 minutes later, around the scheduled interview time, we were called back to the intake window. Apparently, her registration failed in the system. The worker registered us a second time, and we went back to our seats. We were called back within 2 minutes because it had failed to register us again. We waited this time at the window, but also failed to register. The worker went ahead and notified the officer that we were present. We were told the system was having issues, but my wife has finger print issues. She cannot use biometric identification on phones for example, so I believe this was likely the cause.  Regardless, the worker was nice about the situation.

Immediately after the worker notified the officer that we were waiting, the officer came and got us from the waiting room. He was extremely nice. Honestly, one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. He really put us at ease.  We had prepared a significant amount of documents and evidence. We weren't asked for a single piece of documentation except for identification to make sure he had the right people. We presented our Alabama ID's, and that was sufficient. He told us our file was complete and we would be approved. He confirmed our address and asked a few questions. None of these questions were about our relationship. It was questions from the I-485 about drugs trafficking, human trafficking, murder, torture, etc. The questions were only about 2 minutes. I understand why they ask these questions in person from a legal perspective. And then he had my wife sign something for the I-485. He gave us a timeline as well, and informed us about an 1800 number if for some reason the card doesn't get delivered after being approved.

He also made us aware about the I-751 process in 2 years, as well as the N-400 process. We were already aware, but I appreciate that he went into more detail about this.  He said that they typically approve I-751 the same day as N-400 just due to the timing of everything.  He was prepared to answer any questions we may have had.

Overall, a very good experience. I will update when it is approved in the system.

Forgot to add this:

For those curious, we used Simple Citizen. The K1 process was smooth as well.
