Just because I want to be a datapoint and be helpful. 😀

I got the approval and have the path ceremony scheduled. I got a letter right after the interview and it’s in 2 days. Already got the passport form, so will make an appointment as well and apply for the passport on the same day.

Congrats! Thanks for the update!

Attended the interview and passed! Oath ceremony scheduled for June 30 back at our local office. Happy to have found VJ -- dunno what we'd have done without the help & support of the community.

What’s your FO?

Yesterday I had my interview and was approved for Naturalization! Waiting to receive notice about the oath ceremony.

I had an incredible FO, so friendly and warm. He had become a citizen in 2005 and was familiar with the process himself. He said he got in this career to be of help to folks going through this path -- something I would love to do down the line myself.

Couldn't have done this without all of you, visajourney has been a great resource for my husband and myself for the last 8ish years! :)

Congrats! Please stick around for others if you can :)

have you updated status with SSA?

Most definitely will stick around to help others.

I called SSA and they said call us back in 2 weeks as USCIS might update them (it possibly won't happen) and if it's not done by then they will provide me with the appointment. I did use your thread specifically and also was able to find the SSA office local number ( for once Yelp was helpful)

Have an appointment with passport office next week. Will get the passport sorted out and then onto Global entry.

I checked same box on N-400, but a month after status didn't update with SSA. 99% you'll have to get an appointment with them.

For GE, you can update status online. I found it very easy.

Biggest problem with passport is finding availability with acceptance facility. Walk in windows were very small and inconvenient for me, so I had to search multiple places and dates for appointment...

I am getting my passport done under emergency travel. Will be traveling next Saturday and now I can’t travel with my old passport ( country doesn’t allow dual citizenship)

hopefully will get the passport done on the same day next week.

US allows dual citizenship. You just can't travel on old passport because US requires its citizens to leave and enter the US on passport.

Good luck!

Anyone care to share their wait time between interview being scheduled and the actual date of interview?

Application received Jan 21st, actively reviewed since Feb 5th, but no action since March 5th on the API.

ChatGPT has thrown out various estimations with data from Case status tracker. Curious as to how accurate it will ultimately be.

ChatGPT or any AI cannot be trusted. Frankly, nobody can predict exactly, because it's to do with your case and there's human factor.
