. I filed an i90 in january for my g green card renewal set to expire in July. The case got approved within 10 days and biometrics reuse. and the green card was sent to me with status “delivered” by usps. I never received it. Early july, i filed another i90 with reason “dhs issued my card but i never received it” The filing fee was 0 dollars and they asked to attach proof of being accepted in the last case so i attached i797 receipt document from the renewal case

This time they took my biometrics. The case is not in “actively being reviewed by uscis” PROCESSING TIME 15 months. Im worried because the last case took like a week and now it seems like its gonna take much longer even though it isnt my fault and I never received the card. Ive seen people say that their i90 took 2 years. Will i get some sort of priority by USCIS since they issued my card and i just never received it, or does it make it even worse and put me in the end of the line for getting a decision. How can i get this expedited since I have already been aproved and just need a new card since I never received it. Please advise how to expedite.

i90 application with incorrect reason

I wanted to renew my 10 year green card and filed i90 it was approved and delivered according to usps in 2 weeks in February. I never received it. Just now in July i filed another i90 with reason “dhs issued my card and never received it” with filing fee of 0 dollars. However I nust found out this might be the wrong reason and that i shouldve filed with reason “lost card” and paid 540 filing fees again. Is this right? Will my application be denied or delayed extensively? I need to travel i dont have a green card.

A little confused.  The new card was not received, so you properly filed a new i90, so how was the I90 filed for the the wrong reason?  Regardless, you should have proof of your LPR status with your now expired card and the I797 from the renewal, or you can get an ADIT stamp if needed.  You can request an expedite for the replacement I90, but I don’t really see a basis as it is not really a USCiS error if USPS did not deliver it, or it got lost, and you have other options such as the aforementioned ADIT stamp to have proof of your LPR status.

Good Luck!

No way to expedite it, even if you never received it. But as above, just get an ADIT stamp, you don't even need to go for an appointment to get one now, they just send it via the mail and it takes a couple of weeks. You can request an appointment on your online UCCIS account, which should then be waived if you meet the criteria.
