Hi everyone!

Haven't been active for a little while. Hope everyone is okay.

I just wanted to share to you guys the good news of my petition getting approved and only a few more weeks till I get to be with my love.

I wanted to thank everyone as well who patiently answered my questions from my previous posts. Everything was helpful and the interview went very well. We are prepared for all the documents and question the embassy asked and required us to submit.

So with this, I want to say to all others that are still waiting to here back from USCIS / NVC... BE PATIENT... I know i wasn't at times but that is all that we can do during this process. Just use this time to prepare and make sure everything you needed is already with you. After NVC sent out our petition, then it happened so fast from there.

We'll enjoy our time first after being apart for a year before starting the AOS process again.

Best of luck everyone!

it's very difficult to be patient and stay positive when there's those like myself and others like me who's cases have been very obviously skipped over, waiting for just about 150 days at this point, while others get their NOA2 in barely over a month.

but congrats to you, all the best.

if i may ask, how was the CFO process? did they ask for a certificate of no marriage and police/fbi clearance for the petitioner?

I think it has the ‘potential’ to move faster when beyond the NVC. Right now the choke point seems to be embassy interviews. Of course reports are the interview is rather short, once there. With that, you’d think they could schedule at least 3 an hour, same office.

Is anyone able to get an appointment?

I think it fluctuates, but is also very case dependent.  For us, NVC was skipping us over and it took several months to advance.

The whole process is very opaque and I think the OP's suggestion to focus on preparations to keep busy is the best way to get through the long periods of uncertainty.  Additionally, focus on your future spouse, never forget about them and look at this whole process as a test of resolve and coalition.  We're a team and we've faced some serious stress, and will continue to do so.  Couples who navigate immigration can grow stronger for it.

We just got an interview appointment, mid August, there were 2. I told her we need to check when the embassy is open, I think.  About 10:30 over there, they dropped two openings.  I was going to check at 10,12,2, & so forth, Manila time.

Now medical & the rest? Is 1-2 days ahead for the medical good enough?

I'm out of a different embassy - but they advised us 10 days minimum between medical and interview. 5 days for them to send the file to the embassy and 5 days for the embassy to review it. When my fiance called to make his appointment they would only set it 10 days before.

Hi! Sorry for the very late response. It has been a very busy month.

I dont know about the CFO process as I did all this process while in Bahrain. (Did my interview there). But when I had called PH Embassy in BH, they didnt say anything about CFO. After I got my passport back we have booked ticket right away. NO issues at the US Port of Entry as well. All they ask way the sealed document from the US embassy and they stamped my passport for entry.

I did my medical right after we booked for the interview which was almost a month ahead.

We did this as early as possible as I still have to get required vaccines and that took almost 2 weeks. You can always check with the accredited hospital after you have the interview date.

Exactly!!! Husband and I did for sure grew a lot stronger with all the waiting.

But yes, everything is case to case and also depends on which embassy you are applying from. (I think). We did ours in Bahrain which is a tiny island in the middle east so I think that help as there were not a lot of cases being received there.
