Good Morning. I received an RFE, this week and I need some help understanding this

RFE.pdf 1.23 MB · 9 downloads

So looking at this, it looks like you just have to fill in the answers right there on the RFE form, scan it and upload it on the my.uscis.com portal in your I-485 case status

Don't call them - It will be an exercise in futility - Just answer the RFE and give them what they want

Thanks for your reply, but I believe I did so. I will have to call them again to make sure, because ( how dumb of me ) I did not make any copies..😭

Dang, I'm gonna get an RFE because I marked no and didn't answer those questions 😅

I suppose it's probably not worth trying to upload an amended form. I'll just bite the bullet and wait, who knows what other mistakes I may have made lol

I did the exact same thing, pretty sure we're all getting that same RFE.

You may have filled all the answers out, but they may have misplaced or not scanned some of your paperwork properly. Happened to my daughter when she was doing AOS paperwork...they had ALL the papers, and even sent back some of the ones they said they didn't have (and YES...all answers were filled out correctly). I wouldn't worry. Complete what they say is missing and should be good to go! Definitely try and keep copies of everything...you never know when someone is going to misplace something ;)

Hello all!...new member here!... I'm a derivative applicant whose AOS was filed in July 2024. I completed my biometrics on Oct. 18th 2024 and till date have not received my EAD/AP. My spouse received theirs on Dec 11th 2024. I have raised a SR with USCIS. Is there anyone else in the same boat? what are the next steps i can take. I have an upcoming trip to India in July. I understand that by them if my EAD does not arrive my AP can be denied. However I do have to get my stamping done so i assume its ok.

We just received notice of a change to our account. I checked and we have interviews booked for all three i-130's. I couldn't find the date on the portal; it says it's coming in the mail. We also have interviews booked for a month from now for all three i-485's.

A big step forward. Hoping for movement for everyone else as well.

Do you have a Documents tab? If so, the interview notice that they're sending in the mail might be posted there as well. Mine had the date printed at the bottom of that interview notice :)

Any good news for any of the July filers? I still have not received anything after I did my biometrics beginning of September.

Pretty quiet here...no updates since biometrics in middle of August.

GREENCARD APPROVAL.

We had one shared interview for me and the two children, my husbands step children (10 and 14), that lasted maybe 15 minutes. They asked me the base questions from the application, maybe 4 questions, had me confirm the answers were the same for the children. Looked briefly at additional proof we brought - new tax forms for the property, new joint bank accounts, and photo copies of photos of the last 5 years of our relationship. Then they asked that we sign that the questions were answered and info was correct and told us our greencards would arrive within 30 days. We received them within 14 days. I crossed back into Canada at the land border within a month of receiving them, by myself, and then crossed back within 24 hours. No hassle or trouble leaving or returning. I hope everyone else has movement and the process is easy.

Congratulations!!!

I'd love to hear when your interview was, as well! My husband's was on May 5 and we're still waiting for even a digital approval notice.
