Hey, sorry if I’m asking this question again. But, what’s the visa they receive to come to the U.S.?
I understood that you and your wife petitioned them to come live here, I think they will receive a temporary visa to come here and then receive a G.C - in this situation I don’t think that would be able to travel back.

But, if it’s a tourist visa usually they could come here for 2 days leave back, and return to U.S in September without problem.

I had the same issue few years ago, I sent an email to the embassy explaining that I was graduating and by the college rules, I needed to participate of the celebration process. So, the embassy didn’t help me anyway

This information is 100% incorrect.

I know you're just trying to help, but answering a question when you're not sure of the answer can 100% be devastating for the person asking for the help. In this case, there are three options: They fly here in May before their visas expire and stay for good, they fly here and activate their visas, return home and come back permanently in September,  or they allow their visas to expire and then they'll have to start from the very beginning again.
