I think I’m just confused on the password protection where it says don’t submit password protected files.

Probably to do with people submitting W-2 which employers distribute and can password protect. IRS Tax Return Transcripts are typically not password protected, at least not in my experience.

Hi, how can you tell which date range they are currently working on?

You follow along with others and you will see clusters of them getting approvals.  Sometimes, it's here and other times, it is not.   There is an estimator on this website and mine was all over place but in the end, it was near spot on.   I had, any day now for about 10 days.  You can go to your account and then timeline and enter as much data as you have and it will give you an estimate.  Please note that there really any clear cut reason for an applicant to be processed or there might be more involvement on a case that means it might be a bit longer.  These estimates are just that, an estimate.

I am in a discord server where people will tell you when they get approval and what their priority date is. I think yesterday I saw a number of approvals from March 27th.

APPROVED!!!!!

March 30, 2024 NOA1,

Tues June 23 afternoon - first email "taken action," nothing happened

Thurs June 26 evening - second "taken action email," case actively reviewed but nothing in docs

2.5 hours later - logged in, documents tab was noticeably slow to upload, and there it was! APPROVAL!

So basically 15 months NOA1-NOA2 whew, what an emotional rollercoaster. Good luck everyone on your journey!

CR1 visa in hand today! Vietnam consulate and March 2024 filer. Be patient. The NVC/consulate stage took us 8 more months after DQ. Some have gotten through faster, but we had to go through Administrative Processing for about 75 days. So happy to fly home with my wife in a week.
