We are out of town and away from our usual sources of material, so here is (from memory) our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===================

REALITY OF LIFE

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't wipe your friends on the furniture.

:P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Wednesday -- time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
IS THAT YOU?

Wife and husband are sitting together, sipping wine and watching a movie.

The wife suddenly whispers, "I love you."

Husband:  "Is that you or the wine talking?"

Wife:  "It's me, talking to the wine."

Three jokes in a row, this one being Sunday's Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
ST. PETER AND THE MEAN WOMAN

Naomi had a reputation for being nasty, which followed her all the way to the Pearly Gates when she died.

"You said some pretty awful things to your husband," said St. Peter.  "Like when he bought that sharp-looking hat."

"I'm sorry," said Naomi, "but that thing made his ears look enormous."

St. Peter shook his head.  "And the skinny jeans?  He's got the legs for it."

"I'm sorry," she said, "but I can't get past his bony knees."

"Look," said St. Peter, "if you expect to get past these gates, we'll need a genuine apology."

Naomi took a breath.  "I'm sorry..."

"Good," said St. Peter.

"…but with feet like that, you really shouldn't wear open-toed sandals."

Hi good evening  all

please help me in this situation here is my info

In 2012, I entered the US on a C1D visa, and later married a US citizen in 2019. I filed Form I-360 in 2020, but my marriage turned out to be abusive, leading to a divorce in 2022. Fortunately, my I-360 was approved in November 2022, and I received my green card in April 2023 without undergoing an interview. I've recently remarried in India in June 2023 and submitted a spousal visa application (Form I-130) in January 2024. As a parent of two, I'm concerned about meeting the eligibility criteria for naturalization. Is it advisable to apply now or wait for five years ? Am really worried about current situation going on
. did they ask about Vawa and remarried is the issue . Am so confused and panic .Thank you for your advice

Thanks for posting.

You will surely received  exact insights from experienced members.

As for me,the fact that you are still a green card holder under IB6 (  approved vawa as a spouse or former spouse of a US citizen) qualifies you for filing the N-400 under three years rule.

But don't know whether your current marriage status nullifies it.

You should have posted this on the N-400 general forum.

Would appreciate @OldUser to chip in.
