I collected my passport book yesterday (large size).

I drove immediately to the SSA even though my appointment scheduled day was next month, Jan 15th.

I did the walking and they received my me and did my citizenship update.

So, I Roundup everything yesterday and now ready for my international travel next week.

This journey has been somewhat better and easier because of you all.

I'm so Grateful.

My prayers for those still on line for the adjudication of their cases.

Dear friends,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart to ask for guidance and support for one of my close friends who is a survivor of serious abuse. He was brutally abused and, for his safety, was granted a protective order. This experience has taken a deep emotional toll on him.

Seeking justice, he hired an attorney in New York City, but unfortunately, that attorney took his fees and failed to file the case or take meaningful action. This neglect has left my friend devastated, deeply depressed, and feeling completely lost.

At this point, he urgently needs help. We are looking for a trustworthy attorney, legal aid organization, or advocacy group that can carefully review his documents and help him properly file his case and move forward. Any recommendations, contacts, or guidance would mean more than words can express.

If you know of anyone who genuinely helps victims of abuse, or organizations that stand up for justice, please speak up or message me privately.

I truly believe that when we think about others, guide them toward truth and the Almighty, and stand for what is right, God helps us in ways we cannot imagine. Good deeds are never forgotten, and kindness is always rewarded.

Thank you for your response and for trying to help. Unfortunately, the attorney he previously hired took the full legal fee and did not file anything at all on his behalf. Despite repeated follow-ups, the attorney failed to take action, did not return the fees, and effectively abandoned the case after collecting payment.

As a result, my friend is now trying to move forward without being further harmed. He has already completed his entire case file, including all supporting documents and a protective order. What he urgently needs is assistance from a reputable organization or a pro bono/legal aid attorney that helps survivors of abuse review cases, ensure everything is properly prepared, and assist with filing and next steps.

If you can refer us to any organizations, survivor advocacy groups, or pro bono legal services that assist victims of abuse, it would be deeply appreciated. We are simply seeking ethical, legitimate help so his case can finally move forward.

Thank you again for any guidance or referrals you may be able to share.

Hello family,

 

I hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been part of this thread since I filed my application in March 2022, and I truly appreciate how supportive and helpful everyone has been, whether answering my questions or helping calm my anxiety during difficult moments.

 

I’ve had a few anxiety attacks recently due to everything going on, but I discovered that my VAWA petition was approved at the end of September 2025 (never received an RFE). I had stopped checking my case status and focused entirely on work. Unfortunately, the approval notice was mailed to my previous address. I moved about six months ago and submitted an address change, but USCIS never updated it in their system. I’m still in the same county, and the current tenant forwards my mail every three months.

 

Receiving this approval has brought me immense relief, both emotionally and spiritually. Now, my I-485 is still pending. I’ve started checking the status again and will continue to monitor it everyday. It has been almost 90 days since the I-360 approval, and my case has not yet moved to the medical RFE stage, which I expect will come. My I-485 is still at the NBC (was transferred in Jan-205) and has not been transferred to a local field office.

 

I’m wondering whether I should reach out to my congressman for assistance. However, I’m concerned because I currently live in a very red county in Texas, and my congressman is strongly anti-immigrant. I also had an overstay prior to filing my application (I was married to a U.S. citizen but am now divorced). Hence, I’m more worried.

Congratulations for your I-360 approval 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉.

For the I-485, nothing to worry about.

If your country of origin is not among the 19 travel's banned by the government, you should be having an update very soon.

You are still in the normal processing time after the vawa approval.

Being in a red State has nothing to do about following your immigration case. I also as many on this thread are from Texas and the process went pretty well for US.

It will be easier for you to resubmit an online address change now that your I-360 has been approved because NBC or your local office can now do the update without passing necessarily through Vermont.

The most difficult part is now behind you and the rest will be okay 👍.
