It's still Sunday in some time zones, so here in greatest haste is our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
BAD (OR GOOD) ONES

You're not completely useless... you can always serve as a bad example.

I threw a boomerang a few years ago.  I now live in constant fear.

I broke my finger last week.  On the other hand, I'm OK.

I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him run faster.  If anything, it made him more sluggish.

Why should you never marry a tennis player?  Because Love means Nothing to them.

I told my wife that she was drawing her eyebrows too high.  She looked surprised.

My wife accused me of being immature.  I told her to get out of my fort.

Someone stole my mood ring.  I don't know how I feel about that.

My grandfather has the heart of a lion... and a lifetime ban from the zoo.

You don't need a parachute to go skydiving.  You need a parachute to go skydiving TWICE.
:P

Dear Friends

I’m reaching out on behalf of someone who is currently in a very serious and abusive relationship and is in immediate need of help. The situation has become unsafe, and they urgently need both an immigration attorney who specializes in VAWA cases and a divorce attorney in New York City.

We are looking for someone who is well-qualified, compassionate, and ideally affordable or offers low-cost services. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, and time is critical.

If anyone has personal recommendations or knows of any trustworthy legal professionals or organizations in NYC that work with VAWA applicants, please share. Any support or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your kindness and assistance.

Warm regards,

Speed, cost, quality... Usually you can get 2 but not all 3.

I'd suggest checking AILA Lawyer search to ensure immigration lawyer (whoever you speak to) is legit.

Is there any specific person we have to call or we have to call their customer service? Can you please guide me accordingly? Thank you so much for your kind health and support.

Hello, what I recommended is a directory listing immigration lawyers who are members of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). I'm not recommending any particular firm or lawyer. Just giving idea where to find credible lawyers.

No, they'll charge whatever they charge. This is a list to ensure they are real licensed attorneys, not notarios / paralegals / paper preparers. You can talk to multiple of them and see who you're happy with. Good luck!

Not me, I think the person hiring a lawyer should talk to lawyers who are going to file VAWA case for them.

We are in urgent need of Sunday's Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
THE TAX-RETURN FORM

A man from New York City found himself in a pickle after the IRS returned his tax return to him because of an incorrectly answered question.  The question had asked him to list his dependents.

A few days later, the IRS received the following response: "12.1 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crackheads, 4.4 million unemployed deadbeats, 80,000 criminals in over 85 prisons, and at least 450 idiots in Congress and numerous others who call themselves politicians, but are in fact nothing of the sort."

In a strongly worded letter accompanying the man's tax return, the IRS responded, "This answer is completely unacceptable and an insult to this government institution."

In turn, the man replied, "I thought that it was quite detailed.  Who did I leave out?"

If he’s got all the evidence, proof and meets the requirements, he can file by himself without using a lawyer or having a difficulty finding one. Safety first- it will best to isolate from the abuser. Thanks

It's time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================

THE OUTHOUSE PROBLEM

Ma and Pa were two old folks living on a farm up in the hills.  Pa found out that the hole under their outhouse was full.  He told Ma that he didn't know how to empty the hole.

Ma said, "Why don't you go ask the youngun down the road?  He must be smart 'cause he's a college gradjyate."

Pa drove to the neighbor's house and asked him, "Mr. College Gradjyate, my outhouse hole is full, and I don't know what to do to empty it."

The young man said, "Get yourself two sticks of dynamite, one with a short fuse and one with a long fuse.  Put them both under the outhouse and light them both at the same time.  The first one will go off and shoot the outhouse in the air.  While it's in the air, the second one will go off and spread the poop all across your farm, fertilizing your ground.  The outhouse should then come back down on the same spot atop the now-empty hole."

Pa thanked the neighbor, then bought two sticks of dynamite, one with a short fuse and one with a long fuse.  He went home and put them under the outhouse.  He lit them and ran behind a tree.

All of a sudden, Ma ran out of the house and into the outhouse.  Boom!  The first stick of dynamite exploded, shooting the outhouse into the air.

Boom!  The second stick of dynamite exploded, spreading poop all over the farm.  Then, WHAM!  The outhouse came crashing back down atop the hole.

Pa raced to the outhouse, threw open the door, and asked, "Ma, are you all right?"

As Ma pulled up her panties, she said, "Yeah, but I'm sure glad I didn't fart in the kitchen!"
