And yes, I am fine. I returned to the country on December 27 at midnight via ATL and barely spent 5mins in secondary before my name was called and my passport handed back to me. If you are reading this and needed a sign to make that trip, this is it. It's my second time using AP in 2 years, and it makes me want to plan a summer trip.

Happy new year family...may it be an approval filled 2024.

It warms our hearts to hear you sounding positive.  Very glad to hear it!

HI!

Where should my I131 renewal be sent after having VAWA approved? I already got my I765 under C31 and need my parole to be renewed.

I have a lawyer and he sent me a receipt number starting with SRC which is Texas service center and I don't understand why since I live in NJ

Do you guys have any idea? And SRC is where the renewal is taking longer :( 17 months while other offices are taking 5-9 months

Aside to my last question regarding the renewal of my I131, do you guys know how long USUALLY takes to USCIS send RFE for medical after vawa being approved? Mine was approved in September and my I485 haven't moved anywhere

Thank you

You need to send it to Vermont.

I would say make the info pass appointment to go to your field office to inquire about your i-485.

Mostly it would be yes/no questions. They are not suppose to ask anything about the abuse. if they do you have all the right to ask for a supervisor.

Out of excitment ,after my aproval December 2022 , I thought I will be call for interview or RFE will be issue within few month because my 1-485 already moved to my local office. I went and did my medical and my child, the medical will be a year in  April does that mean I  have wasted $900 because till now no update on our 1-485.

no really. I think medical is valid for 2 years now. second make the appointment to your field office to find out the status of your i-485.

I my Vawa was approved almost 7 months back and  have heard nothing since then, I reached out to congressperson and received response that it is pending. they have not moved it to local office yet as well. looks like they are taking a lot of time now a days to process I-485.

It sounds like we need some approvals, so here is our guaranteed almost-guaranteed Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

======================================
A FINAL WORD OF ADVICE

The wise old Mother Superior from County Tipperary was dying.  The nuns gathered around her bed trying to make her comfortable.  They gave her some warm milk to drink, but she refused it.

One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen.  Remembering a bottle of Irish whiskey received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.

Back at Mother Superior's bed, the nun held the glass to her lips.  Mother Superior drank a little, then a little more.  Before they knew it, she had drunk the whole glass, down to the last drop.

"Mother," the nuns pleaded, "please give us some wisdom before you die."  She raised herself up in bed with a pious look on her face and said, "Don't sell that cow!"

Hello guys, I have a question on EAD automatic extension. Does it apply on different EAD categories or should be on the same category ?
i was using a 2years C08 based on asylum that will expire 02/2024 (this what my employer has until now). when my i360 got approved I got a 1year C31 that expired 02/2023. When i360 was approved, I terminated my asylum. Now I sent a C31 renewal last November 2023 so that it can replace the C08 at work because since my asylum has been terminated I can no longer apply for C08 EAD. Does automatic extension apply on this case? C08 expiring next month and C31 pending ? My employer said I need to stop employment until the card because it is 2 different categories and automatic extension cannot apply.
meanwhile I’m waiting for a decision on my i485-290b that needed a i601 waiver

Thank you. My Congress person made an enquiry about it 5months ago, and they said they are working on it, they asked us  to wait  until after 3months before making another  enquiry. It's more than 5months now, no update. I dont want to get them mad, if I ask Congress person to make another enquiry again.

"The squeaky wheel gets the grease."

In addition, you honored the 3-month request, so it's time to ask again.
