I made two mistakes. Instead of writing I-129f, I wrote I-129 on G325. Also, instead of Tokyo, I wrote Osaka. The lawyer said I cannot send a new form anymore and i might need to file I-824. Has anyone ever made a mistake on G325 or I-129F and had trouble?

1. For writing "I-129" instead of "I-129F", did you mean the question "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:"? If so, I can't imagine that will be a material issue.

2. Regarding "Osaka" instead of "Tokyo", which field of the G-325a are you referring too? Or is the mistake on the I-129F Question 20 - "Your fiancé(e) will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at:". If it is the latter, then yes, the I-824 can be used to change the embassy.

well, when I filled out G325, I wrote I-129 instead of I-129F and mailed it to my American fiance.

but I-129 means temporary worker. Of course he sent my G325 along with all k1 petition forms.

I am thinking that he should call up and ask if he should send new forms.

Also about the embassy, I talked to some other VJ members, and they said once NVC recieves our I-129F, they will inform us where my interview will be. So I do not need to do anything. But, I am super worried, so I think that my fiance also should ask about it.

Why would you need to file an I-824?

Purpose of Form :To request a duplicate approval notice, to request approval notice to another U.S. Consulate, and to request notice to a U.S. Consulate for derivative visas to family members. It also costs $340

I don't think you need to do anything to correct these errors. However, start now to pay more attention to terminology and labels. They are very important to the process. You didn't fill out a G325 either. It was a

G325a.

NVC will send your case file where it belongs regardless of what you wrote and they can see that the petition is an I-129F. They do this every day.

Actually you cannot be 100% certain of that since a G-325 is a valid USCIS form... Without looking I am not really sure what the differences are...

YMMV

Good point. "Didn't" should be "shouldn't have".
