If we filed for K1 visa January 6th, 2024 when should we expect a response

If you fill in your timeline, it will give you an estimated approval date.  You should have gotten a receipt notification (NOA1) by now.  The decision (NOA2) will be many months from now.  The current processing time on USCIS website shows 15 months.  That is a historical time, meaning they have completed 80% of the cases filed 15 months ago.  It is not really a predictor of how long cases filed today will take, but it probably won't be too far off.

 Welcome to the ‘journey’, it’s a slog, things don’t seem to happen fast. I’m going to visit next weekend, looking forward to it.

That's very kind of you, but we still encourage you to post your timeline to assess progress.  Getting a confirmation can mean different things, depending on the stage you are in.  So good luck to you as well!

You are likely to see RFE or approval on your I-129F fairly soon assuming your have Jan 2024 NOA1 date.

Hi…You are absolutely right. So far we just got an approval. The next step is the NVC stage, so still a couple of process involved.

Congrats! After status changes to "Sent to DOS" you may contact AskNVC https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to get your NVC number.

Thank for sharing. As of now we are waiting for the approval letter and we will proceed accordingly. Will definitely come back for more updates and input.
