USCIS to NVC help

Hello all,

Our I30 approval - December 12th

USCIS sent to NVC - December 15th.

NVC currently working on cases ‘received’ on the 14th of December.

My question… Is the USCiS transfer electronic and instant so NVC received it on the 15th also and ours will be entered into the database soon. Or is there now a delay in shipping and mail etc so ours won’t be received for a while?

I cannot find any definitive answer. Thank you

they never reveal how did they transfer the information from USCIS to NVC. not that i know of.

my assumption is electronically. but that's only guessing. i wouldnt worry about it too much. save your energy for other matter that's important

all you can do is wait and make sure you check the junk / spam folder on ur email.

I agree. If it isn’t electronic then their processing times seem redundant as you have no idea when it actually got there!

Wait for the email welcoming you to NVC. If you don’t get the email after 60 days follow up.
Processing times are updated weekly but they do not go in order.
it is also vacation time so I would expect an email second week of January. If it comes sooner… great!
but for now start completing all the documents you need to submit to NVC so once your payment has been processed you can upload.

The files are all transferred electronically, and have been for quite some time.

So does that make me correct in thinking, that within reason you can expect when USCIS sent our petition to be the date we are looking out for on NVC processing times?

Yes.  Expect to hear from NVC in a month normally, but with holidays, maybe a little longer.  Nothing you can do.  Relax and wait or don't relax, but you WILL "wait".

Thanks, yeah I appreciate we need to wait. Before posting on here I did put an inquiry to NVC who advised they have not received our petition, although it was sent from USCIS on the 15th. I can understand them saying it is in line to be entered but for them to have not received it concerns me as I assumed it was all electronic. I will wait!

Not received, probably just means they haven't opened the package yet.  When they do, they will create a case and email you.  They don't have an immediate log of what they have "received".  Think of it like they have cartons of envelopes sitting in a warehouse unopened. They don't know whose cases are in those cartons until the do something with them.

I'm wondering how you know about what received date NVC is working on. Thanks.
