I know there are mixed opinions as to the value of this, but I see that USCIS California has updated its processing date to April 14.

I may not know why exactly, but I feel a little closer to approval.

What did it say on Sep 15th?

for several months it's been on March 15

I talked to my attorney today. He said he has been getting a lot of approvals through CSC at the 4 month mark.

Have we ended the whole: "They go by when they receive the petition/They go by the NOA1 issue date" debate? According to my attorney again, Our petition was sent out on 6/04 and received by NSC on 6/07. If that is the case, I must be getting close...if they are going by when the petition was received.

how do you know your file has been touched? I have seen a few people mention this

thanks

Thanks bszoom for the list

 Yeah we are number 108 now on the list

 Yeah 20 approvals sofar this week

Sounds great!

If they keep it up like this, that means our turn is in about 5 weeks...not so good...I wouldn´t mind it that much if at least things going from service center to nvc to the embassy didn´t take a month like they do now...we wish it was faster

 Ok, go CSC and VSC go!

Anyone knows what´s up with this sorry you have exceeded quota?

Go here and register as a customer applicant. You will need your case number to register. After registering, you can check the status of your petition here.

Do not expect very many changes in your status. However, if someone at a service center does something with your file, it will be noted in your online case status. When the date of the most recent case activity has changed, this is considered a touch.

It does suck. Considering there are those that filed in April that are still getting approved. I'm not sure what a straightforward petition is compared to one that takes longer. In some cases, I think there is no rhyme or reason.

Looks like a June 1 filer to me. The first petition from 2006 was approved and they were rejected at the interview. The June petition was a brand new one. It does not look like the second petition was expedited although they do seem to be a little ahead of the pack.

In any case, what an ordeal for them! I sure hope things go better this time.
