My best friend is Italian. She has dark hair and light-ish skin... perfect combination for lasering. She decided to spend the money on it, although I have no idea how much she paid. She had her underarms, bikini area, and legs done. She used the numbing cream (you have to use it or it would hurt too much... she was late using it once and the lasering was done before it took its full effect... she was almost hyperventilating from the pain) and had to go back for two treatments on each area, with the possibility of 3, depending on the results.

She loves the result and would do it again in a heartbeat. My hair it too light for it to be worth it.

Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but I haven't heard anyone say that they weren't please with the final results. But I only know people who have been to reputable, doctor's office-related, laser clinics.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I've always wanted to do it. I don't have much hair, but I sure wish I didn't have to wax, pluck and shave ever again. It is expensive though. I had a friend who did it and it she said it hurts a bit, and in the armpits it hurts more.

Ok, this has gotten me curious... How dark does your skin have too be before it is too dark to use this process?

Thinking about getting rid of facial hair? I can't shave every day or my face would be a bloody mess. That is why I started looking in to it. The best way to find out how dark is too dark is to go to a specialist. There are lasers out there with a different wavelength that are "better" for darker skin types. A specialist will let you know, but make sure you get a 2nd opinion...and if you do it, get a test patch done to see how you will react.

Yeah, I'm like Homer Simpson; after I shave, before I can even wash my razor, my 5:00 shadow is there.

I've heard that this is a great option for men but I don't know any who have had it done.

Eyebrows might be a bit risky. If you want to shape them or have a few you just want to get rid of, have you thought about electrolysis? I know a girl that does actually opened up her own place to do this. I guess it's faster than what it was like in the past due to new technology. Electrolysis is the only method out there that can truly be called permanent. Once the follicle is zapped, it's gone for good.

Here they will only do laser in between your eyebrows - not underneath them because too dangerous to work with laser that close to your eyes (they said).

If I knew it was work I'd totally do it. I'd love to not ever having to wax again.

If you think about it, I spend 65 a month, in less than 1 year and 4 months I've spent 1000. So it would never grow ever again, it's totally worthy.

Wow..that is so expensive!! :o and here I am wanting to have a lil' hair on my arms and legs..I thought its hot and sexy to have some hair..(IMO)..I only have hair in my head and eye brows'.... :(

I never felt pain in my armpits..pain is really "personal" in this situation...depends on the sensitiveness of each person. I felt most of the pain around my bikini area..
