Afternoon. I am a UK national (serving UK military) married to a US national for ten years, with two children who both have US citizenship/passports. We have lived in the UK for ten years, looking to move to the states in 2025. Route to take for visa I believe is I-130, I-864 (AoS), DS-260 (online App) and then interviews etc.

Questioning if this route seems accurate and if there are any military nuances? (as for when my wife moved to the UK, slightly different route than usual).

Happy to take recommendations for any immigration lawyers too.

Many thanks.

Since the move is planned in 2025, this is the route currently available.  It's not too early to start.

There are no military benefits for a spousal visa as you described.

Great, thank you.

Trying to figure out how to delete the first post, as was posted in wrong area.

I merged the threads and placed it under the correct forum area....no action needed.

The military can delay things, but I have not seen it be an issue with the UK and doubt it would apply.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
