short answer.... yes

if you provide enough proof of relationship such as passport stamps, hotel receipts, and boarding passes (airplane, train, or ship) and a few pictures, you could be ok.

Juliekins,

Hi There! How old is your partner? The fact that you've known each other so long will definitely be in your favor. And I don't think age will be an issue, there are people on these boards 10-15 years apart. As long as you have enough evidence that you two have a long lasting and stable relationship you should be fine. I am 17 and my fiance is 20. We've known each other for 6 years. We've managed to get as far as we have with no real problems. Keep your chin up. We know how hard is it when your mind wonders waiting to hear some news.

Fiona

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

It's nice to see someone younge doing this too. I'm only 19, (soon to be 20) and my fiance just turned 21 last week. I've only known him for a year, but I know how I feel. I've never really questioned the age thing. (maybe i should. AHHH) It's stated you have to be over the age of 18 and as long as you are and have a valid relationship with lots of evidence to prove it I don't think you will have a problem. As for getting a RFE for your age I really don't think you would. I don't think they can doubt the relationship just on age. In this process every single thing will make you question if you will get it. I'm such a worrier too.

Hey, I'm another young 'un here- I'm 20, my fiance has just turned 22. Me and my fiance met when his family were transfered to England with work and we went to the same school. I don't think the age thing even came up at all in our application, but i think it looked good that we had known eachother for 5 years and have been in the same place for 2 1/2 years of that, as well as all the visits and things when he got moved home. In fact we had our NOA 2 25 days after we sent off our I-129F application and i had packet three in my possesion just 7 weeks after sending off the petition. I'm now just getting ready for my interview on april 19th and hopefully that will go well. Anyway that's just my 2 cents, age shouldn't matter, we're legally old enough to marry so that's enough for me!

Katie

well im even younger. ;) I'm so glad there are younge couples out there too! If all the evidence you put in there was a picture of you graduating than I would say you really would get a RFE for that. Pictures are secondary and they really want to see passport stamps to show you have been together in the last two years. if you didn't send anything like that you have to just wait. I haven't heard of anyone being successful in sending off info to add after mailing petition. I have a RFE to deal with because I didn't send in enough. It wasn't really explained and they didn't seem to like it.

The problem with the RFE I am bound to get is that we lived in the same state for 4 years.. and I dont have anything else except thousands of pictures.. he did come over to visit me over xmas... but that was a recent thing would they except that? I dont know if he has any boarding passes.. I think he threw them away... I am so frustrated.. and I didnt even get the RFE yet!

Oh and another thing. I had reasons to think that I was getting a RFE but I sat back and waited to see. Mistake on my part. If you are really sure you are getting one than start gathering the info now to build a strong case and have it waiting with the USC. I didn't do this and to get all the evidence to include it's going to take me two weeks for it to arrive (i ordered credit cards statements for purchases while there, among other things) and than more time to send it to fiance and than more time for him to send it to VSC. i'm thinking a month and a half extra added to when it should have been approved. grrr. my two cents :D
