Question regarding Biometrics

Hello all,

I would just like to say thank you to whoever reads and replies to my questions, I really appreciate you taking the time. So, my 2-year card expired February of this year, but me and my wife filed the I-751 in December 2022. It's almost been 1 year since we filed and my case still shows as "case received" Now, since then I haven't had a Biometrics appointment scheduled, I believe this was supposed to take place 6-12 weeks after? Is there a possibility that It's not a requirement for my renewal? again, sorry I am just a bit confused/nervous about this. My wife says it's fine, but I just wanted to ask if this has happened with anyone else and what the outcome was, did you have to contact the USCIS to verify? also is there a possibility that i could receive my 10-year card this year, or most likely after the expiration date of my original card (February 2023) I just want to hopefully try to surprise my wife with my 10 year card, I know this is something I can't control but what happens after "case received" once again, thank you so much.

Our biometrics were reused, and we were notified of that only months in.   Took 18 months at Nebraska overall.
