Does NVC notify you if you have passed the 1-year contact/login requirement?

The reason I ask is because I suspect that We went more than one year without contact/login during the thick of the pandemic. We were Doc Qualified on March-2020 then the pandemic hit and everything was closed. I recall contacting them again in summer of 2021 via phone and the NVC operator said they are just waiting for counsel abroad (Honduras) to notify them of interview slot available. Till this day I don't have an interview (argghhh!!) I have since summer 2021 inquired online about every 6 months since they went online only.

So my question is "do they send you a letter of notification of case termination or do they just let you figure it out on your own" ????????

I'd hate to resubmit everything again if it's not necessary or worse if it resets the process back to day 1 if my interview is just around the corner.

I suppose it is still open, the online portal still says its DQ, when they respond to inquiry they say its still DQ (you can tell it's an automated msg though) There is no concrete indication that it is terminated.

But I really don't know what is going on with my case a lot of people that got in line at the same time with me and others that were DQ early this year 2023 by now have their GC. And I mean cases in same Honduras embassy with same 601 waiver married to citizen

Because you are at DQ and because no interview was scheduled, the “contact NVC once a year” rule does not apply.

I would do this more often, and consider a writ of mandamus.

I had my US rep contact NVC regarding the delay...NVC told my US rep that The waiver is not yet approved, (That a flat out lie) I have a letter from USCIS stating my wife is approved. The glitchy USCIS website does say its not yet approved So I have requested to fix that error and to re-send the letter of approval to NVC. it's been over three years without interview going on 4 years soon
