Hi guys, hope you are doing well

Just a couple quick questions i wondering if someone can answer for me.

Me and my partner just received our notification email and PDF saying our petition has been sent from the NVC to the embassy in London and our Unique case number. i was just wandering if this can be used in conjunction with a screenshot/printout of my CEAC status page to book my visa medical? I wanna get the medical out of the way soon as possible to avoid any delays later in the process but it says i require a appointment letter, upon looking online ive seen people say they have booked the medical way before packet 3 arrived and wandered how it was possible.

Secondly I see a lot of mention about MRV fees and conflicting information regarding it, what exactly is it and if my petition was filed by my partner through the USCIS  and NVC do i still need to pay this as I believe she paid a fee upon filing the petition

Thanks in advance for any help guys ❤️

The MRV fee is the fee paid by a US bank account to the embassy appointment scheduling.  Mine came out to 275 USD for Paris.  It asked for payment during scheduling of the appointment on the France consulate page.  We were able to book an appointment when the CEAC status page showed ready and said we could, then it needs two main things: case id (yours probably starts with LDN or something) and DS-160 ID (after you fill that out and submit, it will give you a page to print with a barcode and the ID).  Hope that helps.. we are going through it now just as you.

We booked our medicals before we had the IL as we only had one possible week we could have the medicals done in. But just bear in mind you have to enter the US within 6 months of the medical, so don't have it done too early unless you'll be ready to move fairly soon after the interview.

Hi guys hope all our journey are going smoothly

Me and my fiancé recently had our K1 CEAC status go from in transit to ready and having already got my DS-160 completed i got on with trying to schedule an interview, however after getting to the payment step i cannot pay and I'm just met with a message of no appointments being available, its been like this for a couple days now and i was just wandering if anybody knows how the embassy release appointment days, if its on a certain day or something so im not checking every 10 minutes for no reason.

You will need to pay the DS-160 fee first and use the payment confirmation to book an appointment.

The appointment calendar may be fully booked by the time you get to that stage.  If so, once a week to check for openings.  I am not sure about London but other consulates update their calendar once a week or so.

When I googled "MRV London DS-160", the first result was:

https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Look at Step 4.

Yeah this is the process i am currently doing atm, on the step for payment fee there is no indication to pay the fee, i am assuming its because there is no London dates available thus it doesn't allow payment

Hi there, from my understanding the MRV fee is if you have filed for a nonimmigrant visa. There is a similar fee for those who have applied for a family based immigrant visa, called the immigrant fee and it’s $220. Which type of visa did you apply for?

Ik this is not an answer to your question but if you don’t mind me asking can you let me know how long it took for your case to go from in transit to ready?

Yeah of course you can and it didn't take too long at all, maybe a week at most. It was a very tense few days waiting.

Good luck on your journey!

Hi! Can I ask how you ended up paying your fee? I am experiencing the same screen when trying to pay the fee for the Paris embassy and I can't figure out where to pay the MRV.
