Deleting account and forum posts?

Hello,

 

If I request to delete my VJ account, can I presume that any forum posts or threads started by me are deleted as well? Or do I have to delete those things manually myself?

No. You can just stop posting in case you want to come back and ask more questions.

 

There is a short period after posting you can edit or delete. I forget how long it is, a few minutes.

Thanks for the feedback  and if I do want to entirely nuke my account, including previous forum interaction - can that be done by the site admin? Or do they refuse to delete the forum interactions?

I have not seen posts deleted just because somebody has closed their account, now posts do get deleted if they breach the ToS of course.

 

The Internet as they say is forever and from a practical perspective it hardly makes sense. For example if my replies here disappeared it makes the post confusing, more so where there are multiple interactions.

Check account settings under privacy. There is an option there. Note that while your account and details within it is removed your old posted content is just anonymized as guest content with no member association once the account is removed.  
 

There is no going back once this happens fwiw.
