We have been waiting 3 years since initial application materials were sent. We were documentarily approved Dec 2022. Our status shows "At NVC". Does that mean it left NVC Dec 2022? Please, help.

No.  "At NVC" means it has NOT left NVC.  It will remain there until your case reaches the front of the queue for your consulate.  At that point, NVC will schedule the interview, notify you, THEN send the case to the consulate.

Thank you. Where was that provided on NVC's site or USCIS? Where was that provided on this website?

Given where we are in our timeline, what's our best next step? Currently, we anticipate spending $1000 for vaccinations.

Separately, we are trying to file taxes for 2022 as MFJ. We were told to pursue ITIN. We understand that we need a certificated copy of my husband's passport as a part of the ITIN application. We submitted an extension on time for 2022 taxes.

You just have to wait until NVC schedules the interview. I would file "Married-Filing Separately", then amend your 2022 taxes after husband has a SSN.

Thank you.

We were informed by our tax preparer, that MFJ, married filing jointly, would return $6848. HOH, Head of Household, would return $3263.

Single would be $296. I don't know if that meant married filing separately.

We are trying to applying for ITIN and must first obtain a certified copy of his passport.

We have not filed paperwork in USA that we are married. My employer honors our marriage by enabling the coverage of his health insurance. I presented our marriage certificate after asking if a marriage outside of USA would be recognized.

I pray that my husband can arrive in 2023. I'm unsure of how far in past taxes may be amended.

Is it reasonable to ask request for my place in the queue? I haven't been able to locate Nigeria's

I'm aware that Cambodia provides a list so that individuals may know where they are in a queue (at least for K1 applicants).

Never seen anyone get that info from NVC.  If you are successful, please post how you did it.  Good luck.
