HI Everyone,

Would really appreciate your help on these questions for Form DS-260. I am Sponsoring my wife, she is an Indian citizen, residing in Canada right now.

  1. Question asks full name of my wife in native alphabet. Her name is spelled the name in Hindi. What should we answer to this question, we put "Does Not Apply / Technology Not Available"
  2. For Passport Info for wife, her Indian Passport has a file number and a passport number. The question asks for Document ID. Is the document ID passport number?
  3. The question asks List of countries traveled to in past 5 years. She came from India, so do we include that? So also currently lives in Canada, so is that included?
  4. Question asks do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? We don't have specific records, as India isn't an advanced country. Is it acceptable to put "Reviewing vaccination records and will obtain the required vaccinations on or before the date of the medical exam" Will this slow down process?

Thanks so much.

1.  Use google translate.  It will provide her name in Hindi that you can copy and paste.  If the entry box does not accept the paste, then check the Tech Not Available box.

2. Google Doc ID for India passports.  Ukrainian passports do not have one, I am not sure if Indian passport have it.

3. Yes.  List all countries.  Typically her home country does not need to be included, but because your wife is residing in another country from her nationality, it is safer to include all.

4. Explain about the missing records and that vaccine requirements will be reviewed at the medical exam.
