No documents were requested from us. Just asked purpose of visit (see my family she said). and the most important item is to have a return ticket, so just tell them date your returning when they ask and your ticket is booked for that date. I would carry though documents showing proof of ties to Canada, such as lease, banks, job letter, paystubs. It's typically very brief. There have been dozens of people that have gone to US on visitor visa with i-130 pending, there is a big thread on this.

Yes, she did. They did ask where in process, etc.. etc. No issues. She actually traveled twice while i-130 pending.

Question asks full name of my wife in native alphabet. Her name is spelled the name in Hindi. What should we answer to this question, we put "Does Not Apply / Technology Not Available" For Passport Info for wife, her Indian Passport has a file number and a passport number. The question asks for Document ID. Is the document ID passport number? The question asks List of countries traveled to in past 5 years. She came from India, so do we include that? So also currently lives in Canada, so is that included? Question asks do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? We don't have specific records, as India isn't an advanced country. Is it acceptable to put "Reviewing vaccination records and will obtain the required vaccinations on or before the date of the medical exam" Will this slow down process? Thanks so much.

Health insurance is not necessary for border patrol. this seems to be financial advice and not relevant to the OPs concerns. Return tickets, ties to home (property deed), paystubs if applicable, proof of ties to home.

How long did it take you to obtain the Indian Police Clearance Certificate? Does anyone else have timeline for India?

Hi All, We submitted our i-130 in April 2022, as of today it's showing another estimated 3 months. When we move to NVS stage, the longest lead item we have is getting a Police Clearance Certificate for my wife from India and Canada. She currently resides in Canada, and Canada Police Clearance Certificate is pretty fast. My question is - Should we apply for PCC maybe 1-2 months before we move to NVS stage, so it's ready at NVS stage? - Would it have an issue being valid? - Anyone have specific timelines they faced for PCC recently? - Anyone also from India in same situation? Also an update on our side: Wife Indian Citizen, Canadian PR. Absolutely no issues or concerns by border patrol coming to USA on her visitor visa. They did ask how is the petition going, and wished her a speedy processing. This was also her first time entering on a USA Visitor Visa.

Hi Everyone - We filed my 2021 tax return with a W7 and via paper due to filing jointly. We are also doing my wifes consular processing IR/CR-1 I'm not sure when the 2021 tax return will be processed by IRS, apparently huge backlog for paper If during the NVS stage, IRS has still not processed it, would this be an issue ? They have not even acknowledged paper copy. Thanks

Does anyone have actual experience of a beneficiary visiting USA while i-130 pending? My wife is living in Canada as a Canadian PR and is an Indian Citizen. She already has a valid visitor visa, but has never traveled to USA in the past.

For an I-130 applicant. My wife is required to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate For India. She is currently in Canada. Does anyone have the steps of a guide for this? Thank you.
