Regret Name Change After 7 Years

Hi,

 

I was born in Mexico and obtained citizenship through marriage 7 years ago. During the residency process, I dropped my second last name (mom's) and added the suffix "II".  Later, during the citizenship process, I was told that could not be done so I only dropped my second last name. After visiting Mexico for the first time in 22 years and working to get my kids dual citizenship I SOOO regret doing this! 😫 Is there anything I can do? My name is technically the same but it doesn't include my mom's last name anymore.

You need to go through court. 

Just search for the specific process in your state.

Sure, you can change your name again. You would probably need to get a court order, the process is dependent on your state.

Once you get the name change order from the court, you can change all your documents to your new name using the order as evidence.
