I always thought they had special clean up crews for dead body-afterbits.

My first job was at an amusement park at the age of 17. Working as a talking picture frame in a haunted house. How's that for a resume??

I think that'd be quite fun; certainly nothing to be embarrassed about!

The person who rented the apartment was a lady who turned out to be his mother. He didnt live there, but he went there to kill himself. She, the mother, wanted someone to come into her apartment to clean up the pieces, as it were. The body had already been removed. After the police were done with their work, she asked the maintenence crew, and the men all refused to do it. I said I would do it, and she paid me.

Janitor at an adult movie theater. Used to have the stiffest mops! Ha. Not really....hmm. graveyard shift, waiting tables at Denny's in Hollyweird, California. Quite humiliating at the time. Ever seen Holloween in Hollywood at 3am??? Real fun!

My dad owns a small ice cream shop in town therefore I have been around tropical flavored yummy ice cream bars made from natural fruit. Since the day that my dad opened the shop 26 years ago till now my brothers and I have had the best jobs which is to taste all the ice cream possible for its perfection. Mom would constantly get mad because when we were little we would be eating ice cream non stop from dusk till dawn! Dad on the other hand would always defended us and would tell her to leave us alone because we were his marketing campaign. On real hot days we would sit outside the shop and eat different yummy ice cream bars till we poped. People would spot us eating and they could not resist the temptation and came in the shop to buy their own. Good thing my dad had 7 kids whom were ever ready to eat ice cream round the clock. LOL Who could resist flavors like

Guava, Coconut, Rum,Tamarind, Lemon,watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberry, mango, pecan, banana, chocolate, chamoy, pina colada, vanilla, rice pudding, cookies and cream, and many many more. LOL The only thing I did not like is that on days when dad was short staffed we had to pick up the slack. The is cream is so wonderful and tastes awesome but its a B___tch to make because each flavor is done with real fresh fruit. So imagine the day we had to make mango ice cream my dad would go to the market and buy hundreds and hundreds of mangos and we had to wash and peel every little mango one buy one. It took the whole day. One day is dedicated to preparing the fruit and the next day the ice cream is made. That's the way its done to this day for all the flavors because we want our product to be made with REAL FRESH fruit just like it is in Mexico, we are not big on the fake koolaid flavor stuff.

Another cool job was when I turned 17, I managed to break away from working at the family business and I worked at a theme park. I got to work on a bungee jump and that rocked! My job was to lock and load people and prepare them for the jump. At times when people were scared to do it alone I had to do a tandem jump with them. =0)

You name it and I've probably done it at some point or another. My attitude is that there is nothing embarrassing about putting in an honest day's work.

Some of you older members will remember this: I used to work the night shift at the local porn shop. I have picture proof too! (available upon request!)

I was the janitor in the adult movie theater, literally (I know someone joked about it, but I did it for real) I mopped the floors, I wiped the seats down with bleach water and I cleaned the walls. working there part time for 2 nights payed much better than the full time job I had at the time.

I remember one night at about 4 am I had a theater full of people heckling the movie we had playing I asked them in general if they wanted me to change it to the other movie and they said no that they were having fun. *shrug*

Anton made me quit once he moved here from Romania. A few years later, someone working my shift was murdered in a robbery. No clues, no video tape, no witnesses... nothing (yeah I know, loads of DNA evidence, ha ha funny) that place is so isolated, no one saw anything. Sad thing is, the way that place works, at night the till doesn't have much cash in it at all, maybe $50.00 at the most, so if the robber did get the money, they killed a man for less than $100.00.

I think the worst part, besides the theater, eww, was having to listen to these people's stories. They would just begin to tell a sex story and I would just interrupt them saying, "Ok Sir, in the state of Texas we are not allowed to discuss this topic in this store, all our products are for novelty only." Part lie, part truth, I just didn't want to hear a story by a 75 year old man looking at interchangeable strap on harnesses with the extra large fitting.

he changed once he got here. The homesickness, the culture shock... all that. He told me one day he didn't love me, and didn't want to be married anymore. Tried to work it out, loads of fights and abuse. We were separated for about a year then I filed for divorce. The whole time he was still just as abusive to me verbally, still making fat jokes, calling me names, making fun of me, trying to make me believe I was worthless. I haven't heard from him since he got the divorce papers and I'd like to keep it that way. I don't have a clue where he is now but I damn well know where he can go.

Last I heard he was still here, that was 5 days before his k3 was to expire back in January. He wanted to go home but didn't have the money for the airfare. He had days where he was a normal person and would talk to me in a civil manner. He's told me I did nothing wrong and that I was a good wife. Then there were days when his only mission was to put me down and make sure I was miserable.
