I originally filed in Dec of 2021 for my Belarusian Fiance. We had just taken another vacation together, and well, it was time.  As we all saw, everything in Russia/Ukraine happened and that had lingering effects in Belarus.

So a year went by with us really trying not be disheartened.  Well in Feb of 2023, I got an RFE asking for details of my first marriage.   My first marriage was foreign as well, so I had filed an I-129F. I was a little worried as I had to admit this would be my second marriage and my first marriage hadn't ended on the best terms.

As I opened this RFE for CSC, I was was surprised that they wanted proof of an I-130. I called USCIS, who confirmed that I had never filed such a thing. To get a copy of the original I-129 from my first marriage, I would have to shell out $500. I prepared all the document, including some additional evidence that my lady and I were still actively seeking this marriage and had continued to meet over other vacations.

Just before I was ready to send it off, the CSC sent another letter, telling me to ignore the first RFE on March 1, 2023, they had made an internal mistake.  I didn't send the for the original I-129F, it save me a bit of money, however, I did send the RFE, the cancellation of the RFE and the additional evidence I spoke about earlier.

I am sure the CSC never got my letter, because on MARCH 20, 2023, I received the NOA that my application was approved and was being forwarded to the NVC in Warsaw Poland.

A real rollercoaster,  but I am happy to be onto the next step.
